From 2017-18, I spent my MFA Design thesis year at at California College of the Arts (CCA) focusing on "revealing the invisible." This concept was explored through experimental photography, particularly photograms (a darkroom exposure technique) using translucent objects. Being an individual that struggles with an invisible disability
(I am deaf and wear cochlear implants) I was interested investigating how metaphorical explorations of invisible struggles we all have makes us relatable. By exposing the unseen within translucent objects, we as viewers can see the mistakes and beauty in the
invisible layers.
