How do you create a “reader” out of 5 essays written by some of the most renowned leaders of typography? Alluring to the “traditional book” The Crystal Glossary, the name is a take on Beactrice Warde’s Crystal Goblet speech / essay, contains strong systems inspired by the modern typographers László Moholy-Nagy, El Lissitzky, Herbert Bayer and Jan Tschichold.

The chapters are “numbered” by a red tab on the side, which slides up and down according to the chapter. The red tabs resulted in a half-fold and stitched in a modern take on copitc binding. Black, white and red are a prominent theme as well as my own photograms, which are odes to typographers own work.
